Compare 1st and Last

From my first speech to my last, I have improved a lot. At the beginning I was nervous and did not prepare as much as I should. This resulted in pausing a lot and forgetting what to say. My last speech I did I was much more confident and this showed as it was much more smooth and clearer. I was able to keep eye contact with the class during the whole speech and used hand gestures when necessary. After watching professional speakers I learned how to give a speech much more comfortably.

How To Survive a Shark Attack

In this speech I prepared longer than I have done with my prior speeches, this resulted in talking and presenting smooth. I looked at all of the audience and had interesting facts that kept them interested. My tone was better than my previous speeches but it can be a little more enthusiastic. For the next speeches I need to talk louder and have more to say about each detail.

Informative Speech

The second speech for this class was the informative speech. I did a better job this time preparing and making note cards for it yet I still have room for improvement. The first thing i noticed was I looked at the note cards and powerpoint slide too often. I did have slides that were very appealing to the audience because of the pictures and layouts. My eye contact with the class was limited to just the middle section. On my next speech i need to be more enthusiastic and keep the class entertained with my presentation.

Brown Bag Speech Review

After watching my speech I found several things I need to change to make my upcoming speeches better. The first correction would be to speak louder and more clearly so the audience can pick up everything I am saying. The second correction would be to know exactly what I am going to say before I give my speech. My third correction would be to include the audience more in what my topic is so they feel like they are in a conversation rather than listening to a lecture. These three things will help my public speaking.
